2015 opening
We opened the garden on Sunday May 17th to raise money for the National Gardens Scheme and Grove House Hospice in St Albans.
We had an amazing 202 visitors and raised £996 for the NGS from entrance fees and plant sales, and £385 for Grove House from teas and cakes. This was our fifth opening for the NGS and our best one so far. Thanks to everyone who helped make it possible. The money raised has gone to nursing and cancer charities.
It just goes to show that you don't need a huge garden to open to the public. If you think that you might like to open for the NGS, contact your local group and someone will come and see the garden. It is lovely to be part of a like-minded group of people, and the NGS organisers are on hand to give advice and assistance throughout.
