We are Garden of the Week in Garden News magazine 2 April 2016 - "a must-see for all NGS enthusiasts - they've truly made a garden to enjoy all year round, with its successional, layered planting".
Sarah Wint has been travelling the country in her yellow camper van visiting gardens opening for the NGS and tweeting about them. She wrote this wonderful review after as visit to our garden:
"Kerrie in Hertfordshire on the other hand is a lawyer and came to gardening relatively recently. The garden she and husband Pete have made is incredible. Small by comparison to many I am seeing, it manages to produce different and distinct areas without separating the space into tiny rooms. Clever twists and turns and changes of level give changing views and partially hidden seating areas add to the interest. But the main focus of the garden and indeed the reason for the garden is the plants. Both Kerrie and Pete love foliage, the garden is designed for the foliage – blooms are momentary icing on the cake. The effect is stunning. It’s like a beautiful botanic garden in miniature."See the Daisy Bus blog for the full post and more from Sarah: https://daisybusadventures.wordpress.com/2015/06/09/green-side-up/
We put out a visitor book on our open days, these are just a few of the lovely comments.
